We slept in after our drive last night and got up around
11…this meant we had to plan our day and find lunch…(see lesson from Day 2) so
I decided that we’d head to Agon-Coutainville for lunch.
Then we drove around the little roads around the area and we
came upon a German cemetery…we decided to take a look. The German graves are marked by bronze plates
in the ground and groupings of 3 black lava crosses. It was interesting and an experience to see
the difference between a German cemetery and the Allied cemeteries.
We ended the day stopping in Coutances and picked up these
heavenly chocolate meringue balls the size of softballs for tonight’s dinner…then
we returned home and made French toast followed by the aforementioned chocolate
meringue balls…mmmm….
Bonne nuit!!!
