Today, we ventured out to experience market day in
Coutainville. We drove out and found
where the market was being held. Market
days are a cross between a farmer’s market and a flea market. The one in Coutainville is small with about
25-35 vendors, selling anything from fresh fruits and veggies, to rotisserie
chicken, cured sausages, fresh seafood, to shoes, clothing and household items.
We started by walking through all the booths to get a sense
of what the vendors had for sale and then we decided we’d pick up dinner for
the evening: a rotisserie cooked chicken, some hot and fresh paella and some
green beans. After purchasing dinner we
drove over to Agon-Coutainville an had fresh made thin crust pizza that had a
thin and tender crust and nice cheese and toppings. Peter had one with sausage and mine had
smoked salmon with a cream sauce…it was heavenly…then back home with our
feast…the car smelt so good!
Bonne nuit!!!!
how was the Paella?
