Things are closed here in Normandy on Sundays, not even the
restaurants are open, so it makes for a very quiet day. Without much to do and after our experience
in Coutainville yesterday, we decided to check out a bigger version in
Caen. The market in Caen was huge! About a hundred or so booths selling all
sorts of things, including veggies, fruit, sausages, seafood and cheeses and
then there were the more flea market type booths.
It was incredible and packed with people at times you were
packed in like sardines, but was a nice way to spend a few hours, although we
didn’t by anything we did take in the sights and smells.
